To Live, What More Do We Want?
Breath expelled, waiting for more
Shoes are old, a discomfort
So much so
I feel the need to step forward
Rather than nowhere, or now here.
Stagnation sets in
Chokes hands, legs, heart.
The path unclear
Movement is magnetism
A draw, a pull, a link by affinity
Without activity, no want
Without attraction, connection’s omitted
At once I am asked for desire
To move, to flourish, to live.
No longer is survival enough.
Thoughts running to offer me worldly accomplishments.
Something I can attain
Prospects are pushed aside, the price for success unpaid
Passion comes from within.
