Tearing into Truth
July 31, 2012
Her eyes glistening through the tears
Tell the story held so tightly
In her heart.
The heart of another longs for the story to unfold
With all the trappings of life
Her words tell partials
Piecemeal truths, only what she wants heard.
The hears past the pieces
Knows more than is told
And feels her heart sink.
Are we moving toward better times?
Asks the other.
Are we feigning life while dying? She questions.
Even the inquiries rip her soul.
